What we do

Lisle Medical provides convenient, traditional and personalised private GP services for adults and children, operating in areas surrounding Haslemere, Petersfield, Midhurst, Petworth and Chichester. Membership is an option but not a requirement. We prefer to conduct appointments in person but can also do video or telephone calls, and we allocate all the appointment time that you need, routinely half an hour but longer if required. There is no need to disrupt your day - you can be seen by a doctor in the comfort of your own home, start with a call from work, or just book a clinic appointment online or by phone. Should you require further tests we offer a vast range of laboratory tests with samples usually taken at your appointment and rapid turnaround times. Whether you have just fallen ill, have long term conditions like heart disease, asthma or diabetes, you want your children vaccinated, or you want a health screen, the GP will discuss how Lisle Medical can help.

We use only the most modern and efficient software and equipment so you don’t have to; we are equally comfortable with answering the phone and using pen and paper as we are with instant digital communications and remote technology. The ultimate goal is to free up the doctor to spend time with you.

Murmurations

Coordinated care

There is no need to leave your NHS surgery, you can have private GP appointments whilst remaining registered. Lisle Medical works with the NHS wherever possible to support them and relieve pressure on their service. We can share notes to ensure the record is complete: your medication review, a private prescription, blood tests, childhood vaccinations - the full range of GP services are available usually with same day appointments. If you need a referral we can put you in touch with a private consultant specialist, refer you to the NHS, or share a letter with your NHS GP to make their job easier.

Equally you do not need to be registered with the NHS to use our service. If you are visiting from abroad, or are out of area, you can still book straight in.

(Records will only ever be shared outside Lisle Medical with your stated consent.)

Common sense

We recognise the frustration that can arise from beaurocracy, delays or a lack of common sense. With Lisle Medical you can be sure that we will always take time to listen and to fully understand your problem or request, and with application of common sense and decency will endeavour to always do the right and sensible thing for you and for your health. This translates to a simple pricing structure that is designed to ensure our service is sustainable at the high standard expected, but also attractive and affordable. Above all it means that once you engage with Lisle Medical you are not just buying an appointment but starting a conversation that continues to its conclusion.

Sustainability

Every business has a responsibility to adapt to the challenges of the world in which we live. Lisle Medical strives for sustainability in all that it does, whether it be the cars we choose, the equipment we use, or the data we store - all have an environmental impact and we aim to minimise that footprint. Healthcare often involves a lot of single-use plastic and inefficiency, but Lisle Medical uses only what is necessary without compromising on safety or cleanliness. We will push our suppliers to eradicate unjustified waste, however we are constantly learning and there is always more that can be done - if you see something we could improve please tell us.

Areas covered

We want to provide rapidly accessible face-to-face care for as wide an area as is safely possible, especially for those who can’t travel to the clinic. This includes areas around the towns of Haslemere, Midhurst, Petworth, Petersfield and Chichester. Please check your postcode against our list of areas covered. If you don’t see your postcode but are nearby please do get in touch as we would like to be able to help, but you are likely to get an appointment sooner if you can book an appointment at our Haslemere clinic.

How it works

Simplicity is the key.

You can book today for a face-to-face GP appointment in clinic with no requirement for membership.

If you think you’ll be wanting to see the GP more regularly you can join a membership package, or you can decide after seeing the doctor, so you can ‘test drive’ a private GP service. Your NHS GP registration is unaffected by use of a private GP, and we will communicate with your NHS GP where necessary.

If you would like to use our mobile service we will arrange your appointment time to suit your schedule so that you have maximum time with the doctor; the suggested and easiest process is as follows:

  • Initial call: you book a telephone slot so we can compare diaries and make sure we’re bringing everything we’ll need - do this most easily on our online booking page. An appointment to visit you will be arranged, usually within a day or so.

  • The doctor will visit at the arranged time. Most appointments last 30-60 minutes and often include necessary tests.

  • If a follow up call is required it is included in your consultation fee.

We are happy to be flexible - if you prefer you can call or email. Our contact page provides all the details you will need.
