Private GP clinic in Haslemere
From the outset I must emphasise that the home visiting mobile private GP model is continuing!
However, over the last few months Dr Piers Foster has been quietly operating out of the Cowdray Therapy Rooms for one morning a week with two main aims: firstly to enable access to private GP care for the significant number of people who live too far away to be feasibly visited at home during busy times, and secondly to ascertain whether a clinic is wanted by those in the current area. Through the ongoing survey on the website, uptake at Cowdray and verbal feedback it was clear that you wanted the option of a clinic to visit, so we are delighted to be opening our first clinic in Haslemere in January 2024.
The clinic is within Harrow House just off the main car park in Haslemere. We have dedicated car parking and a wheelchair-accessible ground floor office space. The first thing you will notice on arrival is that there is no reception. Access is by appointment only and we have built the bookings system deliberately around ease of access by internet or telephone - you should never need to come to the clinic unless you have an appointment.
You arrive straight into a waiting room designed to make you feel welcomed into a homely and comforting environment, with a dedicated children’s area to put our youngest patients at ease. A spacious clinical office manned by the Lisle Medical clinicians you know and boasting all the cutting edge medical equipment you have come to expect ensures we can still offer all the blood tests, vaccinations, health checks and GP services you could want.
The intent remains to provide easy and rapid access to high quality private GP care. The addition of the clinic is purely to increase the options available to you. Membership remains an option but not a requirement and pricing is still highly competitive for non-members. Whether you need a home visit from a mobile GP or an appointment at the clinic, we hope that your experience of Lisle Medical continues to be seamless, efficient, timely and reassuring.
